Megan received her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Arts Degrees in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fullerton. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and is licensed through the State of California Speech Pathology and Audiology Board. Additionally she is Hanen Certified and trained in the Kaufman Speech Praxis Program. She also has significant supervision experience with speech pathology interns, clinical fellows and speech pathology assistants.
Megan has conducted research in therapeutic intervention services for low-incidence language populations which she presented at the California Speech and Hearing Association annual conference. Following her research, she was involved in the creation of a training program for paraprofessionals in regards to their role in the assessment of speech and language disorders. Currently, she is in the process of data collection for a research project regarding effectiveness of a hierarchial treatment program for children diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech. Megan occasionally presents as a guest lecturer to a local college to students with focused studies in child development and communication disorders.
When Megan first became a speech pathologist, she spent 5 years working with public school children through a headstart program, a severely handicapped school, and with special education and typical classroom elementary and Jr. High aged students. This experience assisted her in providing advocacy services for patients receiving speech and language intervention through the public school system. Megan started Lucid Speech & Language Center 12 years ago from her kitchen table and has developed it into a much larger practice over the years. She enjoys working with all different types of childhood speech and language disorders inclusive of genetic syndromes, paralysis, cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental delays. Currently Megan provides direct intervention services to some of the more medically involved patients in the clinic and completes a majority of the initial evaluations to new patients.
Megan believes that her calling is to own and direct Lucid Speech & Language Center, something she hopes to do for many years to come as it brings her great joy. She feels blessed by the families she is able to assist every day. Megan has been married for 15 years and has been blessed with 2 energetic children whom she loves dearly.
Nicole Farwell, M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist

Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders from Biola University and her Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology from California State University, Hayward. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and currently holds a California State License.
Nicole's work experience has been inclusive of a variety of different settings. She gained work experience in a speech therapy private practice setting in Northern California where she provided diagnostic a treatment of speech and language disorders to children ages 1 to 13 years of age in a one-on-one setting. She also taught and provided curriculum for the Infant Development Program at that facility which was for children ages 1 to 3 years of age. Additionally, Nicole has worked for a non-profit speech therapy facility where she provided both in-home and center based services. She has also worked for a Northern California county Office of Education where her responsibilities included assessment and treatment for elementary school aged students with severe handicaps, multiple handicaps, visual impairments, auditory impairments and autism.
Nicole is married to the youth pastor at Canyon Lake Community Church where they attend. She has 2 little girls which keep her on the move. Nicole loves the beach, swimming, and shopping in addition to spending time with friends and playing with her daughters.
Amy Sowa, M.S., CFY-SLP

Amy received her Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Texas, Austin and her Master of Science Degree from the University of Texas, Dallas in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She currently holds an RPE License through the California Speech Pathology and Audiology Board.
Amy has enjoyed working in different types of settings. She worked at The Capital School of Austin which is a private school for children with language and leaning differences. Following that experience, Amy then pursed her dream job at The University of Texas at Dallas- Callier Center. UTD Callier Center provided amazing opportunities to grow and learn not only assessment and therapeutic skills but also obtain compassion for those struggling with speech and language disorders. Amy gained additional experience at Davis Elementary in Plano School District working with children with auditory impairments and at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children where she assisted in pediatric swallow studies. She also had the opportunity to work with the infant population at Our Children’s House at Baylor University Medical Center where she participated in the evaluation of children with Cardiac and/ or respiratory illness, dysphasia, Meningitis and prematurity. Amy assisted at a "Cochlear Implant Camp" and work at "Camp Care," camps which focused on meeting the speech and language needs of children with craniofacial abnormalities. Amy and was involved in the Preverbal Program at Callier Center as well.
Her future professional objectives are to continue educating herself in current topics and educational advancement within Speech Language Pathology. She currently resides in Murrieta and attends Faith Bible Church in Murrieta, CA.
Kristen Lindeman, M.S., CCC-SLP

Kristen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Science degrees from the University of Redlands. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and currently holds a California State license. In conjunction with her Master of Science degree, Kristen retained a classroom credential to teach students with specific language disorders. Additionally, she has received training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECs), Lindamood Bell’s Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS), Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS).
Much of Kristen’s work experience has taken place within the public school setting. She has worked in San Diego’s North County providing services for preschoolers with communication delays as well as multi-handicapped and severely handicapped students and young children on the autism spectrum. In this setting, she collaborated with other school personnel to create an inclusive preschool setting within an Early Childhood Education Center. Kristen has also worked for a local County Office of Education where she provided services to children with multiple/severe handicaps, including autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, and developmental delays from preschool to high school, prior to joining the Lucid Speech and Language Center team.
Kristen and her husband attend church at The Packinghouse in Redlands. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Jillian LeVos, B.S., SLP-A
Speech Language Assistant

Jillian received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, in both Speech Pathology and Audiology. She recently finished an internship in speech therapy at Kettering Hospital in Ohio, and presently she is practicing as a Speech Therapy Assistant in California. She is licensed by the California Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology as a Speech Pathology Assistant working under Nicole Farwell, M.S., CCC-SLP and Megan McCann, M.A., CCC-SLP. She is also a member of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Jillian's work experience includes Speech Therapy Summer Camp, researching Governmental laws for the Province of Alberta, as well as holding Campus Chaplain Positions. Jillian currently resides in Loma Linda, California where she attends the Loma Linda Seventh-Day Adventist University Church. In the coming years, Jillian plans to obtain a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Her ultimate dream in regards to speech therapy is to go on a Cleft Palate Mission Trip.
JoAnna Leon, B.S., SLP-A

JoAnna received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Redlands. She currently holds a California State License as a Speech Pathology Assistant working under Megan McCann, M.A., CCC-SLP. Out of college, JoAnna's first work experience was as a Behavioral & Educational Therapist with the Early Education for Autism in Temecula, California. There she provided ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) programs to children with autism spectrum disorders for children ages 3 to 12 years of age. JoAnna relocated to Orange County where she became the Activities Coordinator at The Covington - Assisted Living Community. There she planned and implemented one-on-one and group activities for the elderly residents suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, JoAnna gained experience as the Associate Program Director for Youth Development at the South Coast YMCA providing quality leadership programs for teen students ages 10 to 16 years of age. JoAnna began working as a Speech Pathology Assistant when she worked as an intern at La Tierra Early Childhood Center in Mission Viejo. In the coming years, JoAnna plans to attain a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. She currently lives in Wildomar and attends Rancho Community Church. JoAnna attends a leadership program through her church through which she participates in international missions projects.

Monica Blanquet
Office Manager
Monica works as our Office Manager. A portion of her work experience was focused in the field of Nephrology as a Lead Administrator for 7 years. She has also worked with a Non-Profit Speech and Language facility for 2 years as a scheduler and authorization coordinator. It brings her much joy to be able to make a difference in a child's life. Monica lives in Orange County where she attends Rock of Salvation Christian Center where she is actively involved in there couples group. She has been married for 3 years. She cherishes every moment she can spend with her family and friends.
Maria Gutierrez
Office Assistant
Maria works as our Office Manager Assistant. She has focused her work experience in the field of accounting and office administration. Maria enjoys working with people and is dedicated to the task. She feels blessed to share in the experience of each child's therapeutic process as she can observe children smile and communicate with others sometimes for the first time. Maria lives in Murrieta where she attends Lamb's Fellowship. She has been married for 17 years and has 2 school aged boys which keep her very busy.
Chris McCann, B.A.
Director of Operations
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Fullerton. He is passionate about providing unsurpassed customer service to the clients and parents at Lucid Speech & Language. Chris works behind the scenes providing HR, administrative and IT support to the staff and Lucid Speech and Language.
Chris has lived in the Murrieta area since 1994 and attends Calvary Chapel Murrieta where he is actively involved in the Sports Ministry. He has been married to Megan for 15 years. When you don't see him in the office he is probably out spending time with his 2 children or riding his bike.
Juli Markham
Billing Manager
Juli has 19 years of experience in medical administration. She has also set up on-call physician groups and their billing departments for 5 years prior to beginning her own medical consulting and billing business. She provides all medical billing services to Lucid Speech & Language. She owns and operates Westcoast Physician Services with whom Lucid Speech & Language contracts their billing services.
